About Be-Dazzled Beadery

Be-Dazzled Beadery is all about the beads — the sparkle, the shimmer, and the shine!

I discovered beads shortly after moving to Western North Carolina in 2010. When I finished my first jewelry-making class, I knew I was hooked and, as they say, the rest is history!

Over the years, I’ve tried everything and have found that I enjoy working with just about any kind of medium, including leather, metal, polymer clay, enamel, and of course, gemstone and crystal beads. By far, however, is my love for the tiny little seed beads - it’s amazing to look at a pile of beads and see what you can make out of them.

Learning new techniques and trying new designs is part of what drives my enthusiasm, and I’ve attended classes online and in person throughout the country and in the Czech Republic with nationally recognized instructors. I have collected many beads from my travels, and I enjoy collecting unique beads as much as I enjoy creating new pieces.

The area in which I live inspires my creativity, and I’m fortunate that nature surrounds my home studio in Mills River, North Carolina. I’m thankful every day to live in such a beautiful place.

In addition to making jewelry, I have taught jewelry classes in several Western North Carolina locations. Currently I’m teaching at Cherry Tree Beads in Swannanoa, North Carolina, near Asheville, and in my home studio.

When I’m not making things with beads, I may be gardening; traveling with my husband (and collecting more beads, of course); spending time with my two cats, OJ and Zoey; and giving back to the local community through volunteer work, including serving as an Guest Services ambassador at the Asheville Regional Airport.

You can find other examples of my work on my Facebook page, Be-Dazzled Beadery.

Please note that while many of the images you see represent my own designs, some of the pieces are designed by other jewelry artists. In many cases, the creative process includes selection of color and finishes of beads that customize our products.
